Maybe it is because the drivers have different names? Vista has igdkmd32.sys and for XP it is igxpmp32.sys. Am I out of luck with this crap graphic card?
I tried to uninstall the driver but still I have some apparently pre-installed Intel driver 7. I tried to update the driver via device manager but Vista decides that it already has the newest driver.
